5/9/11 - This system is assumed to OFF AIR at this time.  Ameren canceled license WNMO496 last week.

- Tower 14 Decatur is still on the air, active cc 860.3125

- Control channels gone, towers appear to be silent at Godfrey, Mt Olive, Edwardsville & Fairview Heights

11/10/08
- Activity has ceased on this system in the Central, Southeast and Southwest (MetroEast StL) areas of Illinois.  All activity appears to be on StarCom21 now.

7/26/06
- Changed all Edwardsville, Fairview Heights, Belleville site talkgroups to "MetroEast St. Louis" as many are simulcast or broadcast on more than one tower.
- Changed Hillsboro & Mt. Olive talkgroups to "Macoupin/Montgomery", many simulcast on either tower, also in the southern areas, the TG may show up on the Edwardsville tower.

Ameren Corp is a holding company formed from the 1998 merger of Union Electric and Central Illinois Public Service Co (holding company was CIPSCO). The two utilities are now called AmerenUE and AmerenCIPS. In 2003 Ameren acquired CILCORP, the holding company for Central Illinois Light Company, and the utility was renamed AmerenCILCO. In 2004 Ameren acquired Illinois Power (renamed AmerenIP) from Dynegy Inc. Prior to Dynegy's 2000 acquisition of Illinois Power, the utility was a subsidiary of Illinova Corporation.
