MDICE Talkgroups are listed here basically for a reference. It is possible that you could hear these on other sites in Illinois besides the MDICE system. MDICE uses the same APCO-25 digital technology as StarCom21 but is it’s own un-connected system. Since the technology is the same the radios can have both systems installed. MDICE units have the various StarCom21 Mutual Aid talkgroups in them. The talkgroups assigned to MDICE are coordinated with those of StarCom21 to avoid duplication. MDICE uses System ID of 1DA.
