GA DPS is moving all communications to [https://www.southernlinc.com/gta/ SouthernLinc LTE] using L3Harris subscriber radios. Communications will be unmonitorable and will not be patched to any existing infrastructure. All existing VHF P25 repeaters will only be used as a backup system. Most of South Georgia has already transitioned to the new LTE system.  Although GBI is not part of GPS,  all state agencies radio communications are managed by Georgia Technology Authority (GTA), its safe to assume GBI is on Southern Linc as well. GEMA has been using it for 10+ years as well as GSP has used it as a secondary system since I believe 2005.
