PTC has worked out interop with their LTE system for most jurisdictions. Legacy VHF repeaters for Districts 2, 3, 4, 5 stopped operating in August 2026. Some counties have turnpike channels carried full time on their local trunked systems. Some counties patch turnpike channels in to county channels on an as needed basis. In some areas, local fire and EMS are carrying PTC BeOn radios to talk directly on the LTE system.
PSP Troop T units have migrated to the PA-STARNet P25 system and are encrypted.
