The Turnpike Commission tested the P25 system for several years and ultimately opted to migrate to a PTT over LTE system utilizing L3 Harris mobiles and handhel LTE devices. Specific interop options are being implemented with individual counties through which the turnpke passes. Several county trunked systems have created talkgroups that are patched to the LTE voice system.
