Important Update:

The City of Boston Trunk system is no longer in use. It was shut down on Tuesday June 26, 2012 at about 2000 hours. All talk groups which were on the system have been given new talk groups on the State Trunk system Zone 1. Two of the three sites have been reconfigured and reprogrammed into the State Zone 1 system and One International Place is no longer in use. At some future time it is believed that more frequencies and capacity will be built into Zone 1. The shut down came earlier than expected.

Police failsoft frequency is 852.1875. Police Ch. 6 is a dynamic regroup channel.

Traffic Department failsoft frequency is 857.9375. Traffic Department Ch. 6 is a dynamic regroup channel.

ISD failsoft frequency is 858.7625. ISD Ch. 6 is a dynamic regroup channel. ISD Ch. 8 is conventional talk-around on 851.0875. Traffic Department radios' Zone 2 is setup the same as the ISD and Municipal Police radios.

Police and ISD radios have the conventional ICALL/ITAC channels, a conventional repeater on 868.7 MHz (with 156.7 PL) and 851.0875 simplex (with 125 DPL). Police and ISD radios also have user groups on the MSP system: talkgroups 267 & 26B (hex) with control channels in zone 5 and 267, 269, 26B & 26D (hex) with control channels in the Liberty Tunnel, zone 8 and zone 10. The channels are labeled as TNL TW, TNL A & TNL B.
