After 6 months of devleopment, RadioReference.com is excited to announce the release of the RadioReference Database CD-ROM. The CD-ROM will be generally available in mid-October, and will feature the complete RadioReference Database on a single CD-ROM. In addition to all the in-depth radio communications information coverage, the CD-ROM will provide a complete version of the Web service, which will allow supporting software applications to access the RadioReference data for automated scanner programming. The CD-ROM will be distributed through ScannerMaster and will retail at $29.95 + Shipping and Handling.

On 9/1/2008 RadioReference.com, the Web's premier resource for radio communications information, and Scanner Master, the nation's oldest and largest Scanner-only dealer, announced the renewal and extension of their joint-marketing partnership. Through this partnership, the most comprehensive line of scanners, software, antennas and communications-monitoring accessories, sourced from around the world, are offered to the world's largest online community of two-way radio users. RadioReference is also developing exciting new products and services which will be marketed through Scanner Master starting later year.

New Features Released Q2 2008
The second quarter of 2008 brought a number of new features and functionality to the RadioReference site, including:

  • Proximity Based Searches of FCC data
  • Upgraded Forums Software
  • FCC database now populated for Aircraft Base, Marine Base, and Broadcast licenses
  • New SOAP Based RadioReference Web service for software developers
The fall will be bringing a number of new features to the site, with a focus on classifieds for for sale/wanted activity and HF Radio Utility Monitoring.

Did You Know?
You can download data directly from the RadioReference Database into your scanner using the RadioReference Web service and a supported software package. See the RadioRefernece Web service page for more details on supported software packages and requirements. Use of the RadioReference Web service requires a premium subscription.

RadioReference Data on your Web pages
RadioReference provides a free API service to allow any Web site owner to display RadioReference Database content directly on their own pages. Leverage the RadioReference Database to create your own customized pages with scanner and radio communications data! See the RadioReference API page for more details on how to get started.
