Discriminator Tap?
Check your audio cable if you're getting intermittent results. The shield on the cheap cables break all the time.

Record Out & Streaming ??'s
It's at a constant level. In fact, the Speaker is still live when the REC OUT jack is being used, so the volume knob controls the speaker level.
