System Notes

 The Mumbai police now operates a multi-site, 21-channel Project 25, Phase II TRS. Frequencies are in the 860 MHz range. Talkgroups include: North, South, East, West, Central for dispatch. Likewise, traffic police are grouped North or South, and SWAT has its own talkgroup, as does the VIP protection detail.

Special events, festivals have standby talkgroups reserved for the heavy activity that is usually seen then. Whereas, senior officers, and command personnel, are also on a Motorola 400 MHz trunked net for priority comms.
