Latest News Update Posted on 2010-02-07 15:55:30

Talk groups 10224 (Guilford County Fire) and 4400 (Greensboro City Fire) are currently patched together. They can be split, with the city returning exclusively to 4400 or the County to 10224 if a situation requires it. If a listener wants to insure that he is getting all of the fire dispatches, then both 4400 (GFD) and 10224 (GCFD) should be left active in the talk group list scanner.

This concept will change when Greensboro and Guilford go to site trunking, which is planned for the future, but has not been instituted at this point in time.

This was confirmed with the city and county planners.
