The base is officially closed. The radio system went off the air on 01/21/08. Base maintenance, security, and fire is now being done by the 128th Air Refueling Group Wisconsin Air National Guard Base next door. Security and Fire are backed up by the Milwaukee Co Sheriffs Dept and Mitchell International Fire.
