Emergency Health Services (EHS), the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), some fire departments and all provincial government services operate on the Aliant trunked mobile radio system.

Cumberland County fire paging system

Cumberland county operates a county-wide VHF paging system for fire dispatching. At present it is not known if there are a set of dedicated operations channels as other counties have. The towns of Amherst, Oxford, Springhill and Parrsboro do not use this system.
