Fayette County's new VHF fire dispatch repeater is now active; it is used for dispatching only and is likely intended for backup use also. All regular incident communications are now being done on the Fayette County EDACS trunked system. In addition, all Fayette County EMS (and County Rescue) dispatching is now being done on 154.695 along with fire dispatching; the 151.325 repeater is being used for EMS response/operations only, and the old 39.52 MHz County Rescue paging frequency appears to have been removed from service.
All fire/EMS runs are dispatched on VHF; fire operations are now handled on the 800 MHz trunked system, while EMS operations continue on 151.325 MHz. There is a crosspatch between the 800 MHz system and the VHF EMS operations channel.
