Health Emergency Medical Services

Health Emergency Medical Services Inc. (HEMS) is Wayne County's Medical Control Authority.

HEMS plans to phase out use of the UHF system. Operations will contnue on VHF and connected 800MHz systems. VHF system has been upgraded to prepare for narrowbanding, while there are no plans to upgrade the UHF side. Currently, the Downriver UHF Med Channels transmit a P.L. tone of 156.7 Hz. While St. Mary's Hospital uses 97.4 Hz on their repeaters.

Multiple and split TX/RX PL tones are used in the HEMS system. The RR DB does not support this information. Click here to to view this information.
