> The Civil Air Patrol now uses the "CAP" callsign although "CAP Flight" is still in use until the FAA has updated their Air Traffic software... A typical flight, for example, CAP Flight 1522, will communicate with Lexington Mission Base (or other airports, depending upon which one has command) and coordinate their search within the asssigned grid... The flight will check in hourly during routine flight but will update Mission Control as needed between the routine checks...
