Massachusetts State Police (Conventional)

800 MHz Conventional

These frequencies are used on an as-needed basis. Most talkaround activities are on lowband, however when out of the cruiser operations can be conducted on these channels. The MSP 800MHz repeaters are mostly located in Western Mass. I-TAC channels are also used in conjunction for inter-agency operations.

Lowband Conventional

While not used for primary operations any longer, any of these frequencies can and will be used for car to car "chit chat", and can be interesting to listen to. Recommended for programming.

Commonwealth Of Massachusetts Interoperable Radio System (CoMIRS) Project 25 Phase II	The Mass Pike PD is now fully operational on the MSP trunk, using the P25 system west of Westfield on TG 2091,
Massachusetts State Police Motorola Type II SmartZone	The Mass Pike PD is now fully operational on the MSP trunk, using the analog system east of Westfield on TG 33456,

Troop B (Western Massachusetts)

Commonwealth Of Massachusetts Interoperable Radio System (CoMIRS) Project 25 Phase II	Troop B in far western Massachusetts has migrated over to the new digital system.
Massachusetts State Police Motorola Type II SmartZone	Troop B in the Springfield area remains on the older analog system for now.
