Military URR-35C 220 to 410MHz AM Receiver

Here is probably the best receiver I have ever used for finding stuff in the 225-400Mhz mil air band. This receiver covers 220 to 410MHz with continuous manual tuning and the way the tuning is setup you can cover a huge chunk of spectrum in a second and easily catch those quick, hard to find transmissions.

The receiver is all tube (and lots of them) but is very stable and surprisingly sensitive. After 15min of warm up you can set the frequency, turn off then back on months later and it’s still on the same freq you left it. The main audio out and headphone out is 600 ohm and you can simply plug in some amplified computer speakers with a 1/4” to 1/8” adapter for great audio.

I am downsizing my shack and hate to see it go and I will miss it. In the first two weeks I had this one I found more neat elusive stuff than I did with my Icom R-7100 in the 25 years I owned it. I have owned a few of these almost continuously since about 1974 and this is the nicest one I have come across.

Fair Radio Sales and Toronto Surplus both have these receivers but missing tubes and untested for $125. This one works great for about half the price! This receiver is heavy and shipping weight will be around 65lbs from So Cal. I also have antennas that I would discount to the buyer of this receiver.

Hey there, prcguy, --- IF you still have the uur 35c on hand, I'd love to buy it from you !!! I live in south jersey, between McGuire, Warren Grove, Dover, & Air Sta AC....use several rigs, even a ic R7100, but am really not entirely happy with any of the radios I've been using. Your comments about the 35c being even better than tthe '7100has me all stoked up. I'd also be quite interested in 1or2 of your better antennas to improve everything. --not exactly sure if they'd be in my budget though.

Please let me know if you still have it, & we can make arrangements. Thanks again, Dan

Prcguy, could you possibly get back to me as to whether you still have the receiver, or not,  & if you still wanted to sell it. Although I'm very interested in getting it for myself, my son watches RR, & loves mil monitoring.  So now he's asked me to try to get it for him. .... which I'd like to do, if it keeps my 15 year old son from getting involved with "other" things a lot of teens get messed up with.  So just a quick note to let me know,  one way or the other.  My email is :, or you can text me at : 856-577-8381

Thanks, Dave & Dan Runion
