This item up for sale is a Custom Tabletop Stand/Cradle for a Uniden Bearcat Trunktracker IV BCD396XT Scanner. It's brand new and unused. The top portion is made from 3/16" plywood, painted black, and coated with a flat acrylic finish. The base is made of solid 3/4" pine with a hand rubbed Pecan stain and it's coated with a brushed satin acrylic finish. It sits at a 25° angle allowing you to view the display whether you're sitting or standing. There's a slot cut in the back of the stand to accommodate the metal stud for the belt clip. Simply slide the scanner into the stand and the belt clip stud secures the scanner to the stand. All ports and buttons are totally accessible and usable while in the stand. The top edges of the base have been rounded over. It has rubber feet on the bottom to prevent sliding on hard flat surfaces and felt in the bottom of the cradle to provide a bit of padding. This works great to sit your scanner in while charging, or if you're like me and rarely use yours as a portable, it serves as a tabletop station to keep it safe and secure during normal usage. It's especially useful when using an external antenna. The base measures 4 13/16"W x 6"L x 3/4"H. The top cradle part measures 2 13/16"W x 4 1/8"W x 3 1/2"H. Just let me know if you're looking for something different, I have more colors and base materials available. The price is $20 plus $8.50 shipping. Not sure if the "Buy it Now" option includes the shipping, if not please make sure to add that in with your payment. I will accept other forms of payment as long as it's done in a timely manner. Just message me and let me know what you have in mind.
These were designed and custom handcrafted by myself. I bought my Trunktracker IV a couple of years ago and soon discovered that it didn't sit very securely on much of anything. It's all hard plastic and slides around anywhere you sit it. The last thing I wanted was a $400 piece of electronic equipment being damaged due to it accidentally sliding off the table. I searched around for a stand of some sort and was unable to find one. So I decided to design one of my own. I first made up a prototype from cardboard which I actually used for a while and then finally a plywood model. I've used that one for over a year now and have been very pleased with it. The scanner sits securely in the stand and gives me peace of mind. I no longer worry about it sliding around causing potential damage. I decided I would make up a few of these and see if there were any scanner owners who would be interested in having one of them.
