Hey, I live in the country Hazard Ky about 20 miles out and my discone antenna will pick up the lower freq good (154.-155.000). But when I plug my rubber duck in I cant get those freq, but then I CAN get the upper 450-460 freq that the state police use. Will this help me boost the signal enough to get both? thanks, Shane

The converter is not an amplifer, it only converts 800MHz down to 400MHz. I think you should look at some of the antenna forums for a better answer.
