Nice icom model IC-71A shortwave receiver with digital code reader for sale or swap for a uniden bcd-396XT Model handheld scanner, now this shortwave receiver comes with the opinional voice module, it will tell you the freq your on , the opinial rc-11 remote controller, which is hard to find, it is am, cw, ssb, ritty, I have no fm module in it. it has a preamp, and nice digital readout, 32 memory channels, and coverage is from 100 kz to 3000khz, now this receiver is one of the best, I have been using it for quite sometime now and just cant get into sw listening, it does have one problem I have never taken the time to check because it was to me not a big thing, when first turned on it might cut out after a minute, just a gentle tap on the case it will come back on and be ok, from there on, as I said it was not a big deal to me, these sold for over $1,000 new, now the code reader is a aea code reader, I never used it on ritty just copied on cw for a day or so, but, I no cw and do not really have a use for it, very easy to hook up.
