A matched set for VHF/UHF that cover the ham bands. Both radios also contain the VERY RARE Pre-Amp option, making the receivers super-sensative, and still selective at the same time... The VHF radio covers 144-175MHz. (sensitivity .15 or better) and the UHF radio covers 440-478MHz. (sensitivity .20 or better) and the Project-25 digital works throughout the entire spectrum of the radio. All time bomb capacitors have been replaced with the more modern tantalum style. Both radios have the same host/dsp firmware revision, flashcode, and contain encryption modules for both DES-XL & DES-OFB. Included with these radios are a practically brand new, latest revision W3 control head, speaker with mounting bracket, Y-cable for remote mounting, the power/accessory cable and the radio mounting bracket.
