This UHF digital CFD radio feed link, is NOT being used for dispatching of ANY fire services YET! The UHF digital feed is still in the test/beta mode, while the City is working out ALL the system bugs. This new UHF digital feed is ready to broadcast, however the City must complete setting up this new system. Usually during normal working hours, from time to time you can hear the radio techs. testing the digital system. The City is way behind with getting this UHF system online, but it will be the NEW radio system for the Chicago Fire Department sometime in the future!
NOTE: Until the new C.F.D. digital system goes online, we have the C.F.D. NORTH Ambulance dispatch, (UHF 460.600 analog,) being feed along with the C.F.D. digital feed, just to fill in the dead air!
