3/25/10 - Switched back to the Pro-2006 from the Yaesu handi-talkie. The Yaesu wasn't scanning fast enough and was missing short but informative transmissions. The Pro-2006 has no CTCSS or DCS capabilties but scans much faster. Seems to be the lesser of two evils.
3/23/10 - PHI AirCare Repeater frequency has been added to the channel line-up. Not sure if we'll hear much on it or not...
Realistic Pro-2006 into an Asus P5A-B, AMD K6-2 @450MHz, 256MB ram. Running Ubuntu Linux 9.04 and Darkice. The radio monitors all Augusta County, Staunton and Waynesboro Fire & Rescue with the exception of med channels.
